‘La Maison Roux’ in Montpellier is a small factory, not too far from our French language immersion school, which makes macarons in the old-fashioned way. Nested right in the heart of the town, ‘La Maison Roux’ has an authentic way of manufacturing macarons that comes from a very old recipe used to make Macarons for the Counts of Provence and the Languedoc in the middle ages. During the first part of the cultural visit, you will get to learn all about the history of the Macaron and the secret of making it!
When you study French at our French school in Montpellier, you improve you language skills whilst also soaking up everything the French culture has to offer, like for example tasting some wonderful macarons!
Then, you will be able to enjoy visiting the workshop and watching the macarons being made right before your very eyes, you get to see how to make the best macarons!
